Services - Network and Security Architecture and Design

Job Function:

• Translation of functional requirements into comprehensive architecture proposals.
• Detailed configuration and implementation procedure development.

Skills:

• Expert knowledge level for architecture, design, and implementation of LAN/WAN/VPN/WLAN devices and associated network technologies and protocols.
• Expert knowledge level for architecture, design, and implementations of CheckPoint FW systems and associated security infrastructure.
• Expert knowledge of Client's LAN, WAN, VPN, WLAN and Security infrastructure.
• Extensive knowledge of Windows 2003 and Active Directory.

Responsibilities:

• Embedded work with Client's Operations and Infrastructure teams to translate functional needs and requirements, strategic partnerships, and resource constraints into comprehensive architecture and design documents.
• Definition of project outline containing technology overview and resource requirements to be used by Project Management staff.
• Full material planning including preparation of order templates for any required networking/security equipment, services, and support.
• Presentation of network and security project proposals to Client's decision making staff.
• On-going technical and cost-benefit analysis and review of Client's network and security infrastructure.
• Consulting on Client's infrastructure projects such as strong password and authentication systems, storage networks (SAN), backup systems, etc.
• Provide monthly network issues and usage reporting.
• Network capacity planning and traffic pattern analysis.
• Creation and on-going maintenance of network topology and functional security diagrams using Visio.
• On-going communication with Client's infrastructure teams.
